Olana Sunset Workshop Plein-Air and Studio Workshop JUNE 2024!
/Join us for a two-session watercolor workshop at the stunning Olana Historic Site, led by Betsy Jacaruso. On Friday evening, we'll gather on-site to capture the sunset over the river vista with plein air painting. On Saturday morning, we'll meet in the studio to refine our work using the light studies and photos from the previous evening.
A few spots are available for those who wish to join just the plein air session on Friday. Don't miss this unique opportunity to enhance your painting skills in a beautiful setting!
Friday 4 pm - 7 pm: Join us on-site at Olana Historic Site. Please bring your supplies*, a folding chair or stool, and a board or watercolor easel if you have one. We will provide water, containers, and boxes to place your palette on while you paint.
Saturday 10 am - 1 pm: We'll meet in the studio to work from our light studies and reference photos from the previous evening, creating more complete works. We will provide prints of each student's reference photo.
Supplies: We recommend using our Mixed-Level Supplies List as a guide for what to bring, but feel free to work with your own preferred palette of colors and supplies. We recommend 100% cotton rag paper for all of our classes.
